Product Description
Scar Tissue & Massage - 2 Credit Hours
Scars are a natural part of the body's healing process and can form on the skin following injuries, surgeries, or certain skin conditions (acne vulgaris). When the skin is injured, the body initiates a complex process of wound healing. This process involves inflammation, tissue regeneration, and remodeling. Scars form during the remodeling phase of healing. They are a result of the body's attempt to repair and replace damage with a scab forming as soon as four days.
It's important to note that everyone’s skin and healing process is different so the appearance and development of scars can vary widely from person to person.
It’s essential to initiate scar massage as soon as the wound has sufficiently healed. Generally, this means waiting until any scabs or sutures have been removed and the wound is closed.
