Product Description
This 2 CEU class offers an overview of diabetes mellitus; Research suggests that massage therapy is generally safe for improving circulation, relaxation, and dealing with neuropathy symptoms for diabetic clients. Some recents studies have suggested that blood sugar levels can drop during massage. It is good to have an emergency source of sugar(juice, fruit) in case a client develops low blood sugar during a massage session. If a client presents with a cardiovascular condition, noncirculatory bodywork such as reiki or craniosacral may be indicated instead of Swedish massage. Other contraindications are also presented.
